On the back of a visit to Cape Town, Kevin Beasley transformed the Gallery at A4 Arts Foundation into his studio and site of production for the works that became the exhibition without a clear discernible image. This was Kevin’s first show on the African continent. He talks to Katherine Brinson from the Guggenheim Museum, New York, on-site at A4, about this experience in creating a travelling studio, ‘showing up’ with presence, and risk-taking in practice.
