“We’re all so involved in art and making sense of it. The general public in this country, however, don't have many references to make sense of contemporary art. I think it’s a useful inroad, to look back at our history, and to look in many directions without being one-dimensional. Without having a specific polemic. It’s a way to explore South African contemporary art practice within the ambit of a more critical modernism, which I think Dada represents.”
