Re-ascribing intention

"Going into my files, all that unused material – those images that don’t go anywhere – was quite disturbing. Because effectively, you are re-ascribing intention – and a new context. So what happens when, for instance, when you take a photograph from a warzone, places of terrible violence, and place it next to one of a lion park, or a TV screen. What are you doing to those things? I was nervous of disrespecting to those bodies of work from Angola particularly."
