Three artists from the project Somnyama Ngonyama Interpreted take up residency at A4 Arts Foundation: Lungisani Ndlovu, Mduduzi Dzanibe and Nhlanhla Chonco. Their residency precedes the opening of Ikhono LaseNatali in A4's Gallery.

The artists are mentored by Sir Professor Zanele Muholi.

Ikhono LaseNatali is a project initiated by Sir Professor Zanele Muholi and curated by Dr Bajabulile La Dhlamini Sidzumo and Thobeka Bhengu. Presented by Muholi Productions, the exhibition at A4 is the second instance of the initiative, wherein 25 young artists from Durban reinterpret the artist’s Somnyama Ngonyama. The first iteration opened in Kwazulu-Natal in May 2019.
