This book is the outcome of a collaboration between Lindokuhle Sobekwa and French photographer Cyprien Clément-Delmas. In 2015, they began visiting Daleside, a former mining village on the far-southern fringes of greater Johannesburg. Sobekwa was familiar with Daleside through his mother who had worked there as a live-in domestic worker.
