The first compilation of Apala music released outside of Nigeria, produced by Soul Jazz Records – an independent record label and book publisher based in London. Apala is a deeply rhythmic musical style, which combines the vocal traditions of Islamic music, the Agidigbo (thumb piano), and the powerful drumming techniques of the Yoruba.
