Photographs taken by Kathryn Smith of a party in Newtown, Johannesburg, to which Christian Nerf wore Polite Force riot gear. Having been mistaken for a member of the riot police, Nerf was attacked by a comedian whose friends broke up the fight by telling him to “read, read.” This was one of the few times Christian Nerf performed Polite Force.
